The dustcap of a similar design to a phase plug optimises the radiation. Within the operating range, it features a very linear frequency response, the parameters are perfect for closed cabinets of very compact size, e.g. shelf speaker systems, but can also be applied in small TML cabinets or bass-reflex speaker systems of medium size and provide a reproduction with a very low limit frequency.
